Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a method for generating binary codes, and more particularly, to a method for generating binary codes using discrete signals and the binary codes generated by the method. 2. Description of the Related Art The most frequently used coding method for generating binary codes from a conventional method for generating binary codes is a run-length method. However, the run-length method has been known to have problems in that: 1) it requires a large memory capacity; 2) it cannot be used in real time since it may generate codes having low information compression ratios; and 3) it requires a large processing time for decoding. In addition, the run-length method has also been known to have problems in that: 1) it is difficult to realize a high compression ratio because it has a fixed length; 2) it may suffer from an error in the decoder and take a long time for the decoder to start; and 3) it may suffer from high error rate at low level since it cannot predict the next bit string. For example, a method for generating binary codes using discrete signals and the binary codes generated by the method is disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 6,600,435 B1, U.S. Pat. No. 6,578,866 B1, and U.S. Pat. No. 6,668,257 B1. According to the method, a binary code string is generated by searching a non-binary code string for a start point of each discrete signal, calculating a number of discrete signals in the non-binary code string, and counting the number of discrete signals in the binary code string. However, the method may have problems in that: 1) it requires large storage capacity since the method cannot change the length of a string; 2) it cannot be used for real time processing since it cannot decode the binary code string and generate a new binary code string in real time; and 3) it may have a low error rate at a higher level. i n g o r d e r . r , 2 / 1 1 , - 2 L e t
